Winter Helps

Vitamin D

Ah, summer. I love all the sunshine and the vitamin D that comes with it. During the winter months we just don't get as much naturally and that can have a number of side effects. Being deficient in vitamin D can cause aches and pains, depression and vitamin D deficiency has also been linked to the development of MS.

Keep in mind, if you are over 50 or have darker skin it may be more difficult for your body to make enough Vitamin D.

Without the sun or supplements it can be very difficult to get vitamin D from food alone.Taking a vitamin D supplement is a great way to go into the winter to keep that happy sunny feeling all year round.

Dry Skin

If this is what your hands feel like in the winter you are not alone. I have a tendency to forget about going the extra mile to take care of my skin during those particularly cold dry months. Before long my hands are dry, cracked and painful. I wish that I could remember to get ahead of the game but I rarely do. So I usually have to use this lightweight but powerful hand & body cream on my hands to heal them quickly. This winter I will keep this ultra moisturizing cream in my purse so that I can avoid the dry painful hands. My hands will be silky soft this winter!
