Sleeping Beauty
Staring up at the ceiling at 2 in the morning, looking at your Facebook instead of the back of your eyelids? We have all been there. It's a terrible feeling counting down how many hours you have left before the alarm goes off. What have you tried to avoid this terrible fate? Well, there are a number of things that you can do to get a great night's sleep every night.
If you need a little help with sleep, here is an all natural, safe way to get a little help and sleep like a baby.
Avoid Caffeine-We have all heard this right? I used to drink buckets of coffee. I could even drink coffee late in the evening and still knock out at night. I, however would be up at 4 in the morning. Not fun. So I don't drink coffee late in the evening and it made a huge difference.
Caffeine is a tough thing to shake so take it slow, don't go cold turkey. Wean yourself slowly. Cold turkey can cause more trouble than good.
Take a Walk-One of the best thing for a great night's sleep is a walk after dinner. Leisurely or brisk, it doesn't matter. Just get yourself out in that fresh air end enjoy. You'll sleep like a baby.
Remove Electronics-Electronics in the bedroom is one of the worst things you can do. Leave your mobile phone, tablet and laptop else where. Also try to avoid electronics for an hour before you go to bed. Find a way to let your mind relax before going to bed.
I hope this helps you to get the best night's rest.

Respiratory Illness
We have all seen this respiratory illness all over the news. Kids with oxygen masks unable to breathe and fearing for their lives. Worried parents at their bedsides. Children back at school I'm sure is fanning the fire.
There is always something, really. We all remember H1N1 a few years back and the panic that everyone was in. These things are always more of a concern for young children, elderly and those with a weakened immune system. I personally have been that person with a weakened immune system and it's no picnic. I have worked hard to make sure that my immune system is always strong and it has changed my life. We all get sick and there isn't much we can do about that, but honestly I may get a cold once a year and that's about it. I make sure that my daughter also does everything she can to keep her immune system strong. With kids it isn't always easy but there are many ways you can achieve that goal.
The biggest factor is what you eat. Avoiding certain foods can really help. One of the most common culprits this time of year is sugar. It's everywhere. It's time to stock up on Halloween candy and of course there is a lot of baking going on. Now I'm not saying you can't have any fun but non stop sugar is definitely going to drag your immune system down.
Another factor is how you choose to boost your immune system. I use only the purest products to do so. I use a couple of different immune boosters that you can find here. I take a number of products on a daily basis and add in some extra stuff if I know I've been exposed, I'm really tired or I know I am definitely getting sick.
Being proactive and taking care of yourself and your family before you need it is always the best way to go.

Life Changer
When I started with Shaklee I was struggling just to function in my everyday life. On many days I would get up and have breakfast and then go back to bed. I couldn't even clean up after myself usually having to ask my daughter to clear the table and wash the dishes. It was all I could do to go from the table back to my bed. My joints screamed in pain as I made my way back to bed to sleep for the rest of the morning. Not only was I in pain but I was so exhausted that on many days I just slept the day away. Doing every day activities was a struggle.
I had a great doctor at the time who ran many tests trying to figure out what was wrong with me. We were working towards a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue and that would have enabled me to go onto disability. I really didn't know what else to do. I was so sad. I thought I'm too young to feel this old. I felt like in a way my life was over.
This didn't happen suddenly. It was a long process of ignoring my health, pushing myself way beyond my limits and not taking time to take care of myself. I had gotten myself into quite a pickle and was pretty sure I was going to suffer the rest of my life because of it. Running errands or hanging out with friends on a good day was something that I would always pay dearly for. I knew I would be knocked down for days after any kind of social fun or necessary errands. I thought how did this happen to me?
I had a friend contact me to make some jewelry for her and when we got together for our consultation we were just kind of talking and I had told her about my health and that I needed more income etc. She lit up and told me all about the health benefits of Shaklee. She was so convinced that it would help me that she actually gave me my first box of vitamins!
Did it help me? Did it really make a difference? You bet it did! I took the days supply of vitamins and thought, I.m really going to put this stuff to the test. I fully believed it couldn't be as good as I was told it was. I felt that I was already having a good day and decided to take my daughter to the zoo. Something that I know even if I made it through the day I would pay for it for the next few days. Well, not only did we go to the zoo but after that I shopped until my daughter dropped! It was amazing! I had to stop and go home because my daughter was tired! I couldn't believe it.
This has been a long road and I am still working on my health. I have made great strides and lots of changes. Vitamins alone no matter how great are only one step. I have learned a lot about nutrition and health and have changed a lot. I am looking forward to continuing with my journey and helping others along the way.
