We have all seen this respiratory illness all over the news. Kids with oxygen masks unable to breathe and fearing for their lives. Worried parents at their bedsides. Children back at school I'm sure is fanning the fire.
There is always something, really. We all remember H1N1 a few years back and the panic that everyone was in. These things are always more of a concern for young children, elderly and those with a weakened immune system. I personally have been that person with a weakened immune system and it's no picnic. I have worked hard to make sure that my immune system is always strong and it has changed my life. We all get sick and there isn't much we can do about that, but honestly I may get a cold once a year and that's about it. I make sure that my daughter also does everything she can to keep her immune system strong. With kids it isn't always easy but there are many ways you can achieve that goal.
The biggest factor is what you eat. Avoiding certain foods can really help. One of the most common culprits this time of year is sugar. It's everywhere. It's time to stock up on Halloween candy and of course there is a lot of baking going on. Now I'm not saying you can't have any fun but non stop sugar is definitely going to drag your immune system down.
Another factor is how you choose to boost your immune system. I use only the purest products to do so. I use a couple of different immune boosters that you can find here. I take a number of products on a daily basis and add in some extra stuff if I know I've been exposed, I'm really tired or I know I am definitely getting sick.
Being proactive and taking care of yourself and your family before you need it is always the best way to go.
Here's to your health.
